The
Northwest Speedway Racers Assoc. was formed in 1992. At that time, twelve
speedway racers from Oregon and Washington were gathering at various 'flattrack'
events to put on exhibition races for the spectators. Speedway motorcycle racing
was unknown in the Northwest. The Association grew in membership to reach an
all-time high of forty-two members.
The
Northwest Speedway Racers Association is a Non-Profit organization whose
primary purpose is the unification of Speedway Motorcycle Racing.
The
objectives of the Association are to foster strong and fair competition; to
provide reasonable guidelines for the various divisions of competition; and to
provide an impartial competition association.
